Submission Terms
1. Introduction
These Submission Terms govern the submission of stories, concepts, chapters, episodes, or other creative material to Grangor for review and possible development or publication on the platform.
By submitting work to Grangor, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
2. Purpose of submission
Submitting work to Grangor does not guarantee publication.
A submission is made for review, consideration, and, where applicable, display within Grangor’s submission system. If Grangor wishes to publish a submitted work as an official Grangor title, the work will only move forward under Grangor’s separate Publishing Terms and any additional agreed arrangements.
3. Eligibility
To submit work to Grangor, you must:
Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
Have the right to submit the work
Provide accurate information when requested by Grangor
Comply with these terms and any related platform rules
4. Your ownership
You retain ownership of your submitted work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Submitting work to Grangor does not transfer your copyright to Grangor.
5. Submission licence for review and display
By submitting work to Grangor, you grant Grangor a limited non exclusive licence to receive, store, review, assess, discuss internally, and communicate with you about the submitted material for the purpose of considering it for publication or development.
Where Grangor’s submission system includes public or member accessible submissions, you also grant Grangor a limited non exclusive licence to display the submitted material on the platform as part of that submission process.
This licence is limited to submission review, platform display within the submission system, and related platform activity. It does not by itself mean that the work has been formally accepted as a published Grangor title, and it does not replace Grangor’s separate Publishing Terms or any later publishing agreement.
6. Types of submission
Grangor may accept different types of submissions, including but not limited to:
Private submissions for internal review only
Member accessible submissions where selected submission content may be displayed to paying users on the platform
Concept or project submissions for possible future development
Grangor may decide which submission routes are available at any given time and may change, restrict, or remove those routes at its discretion.
7. No guarantee of acceptance
Grangor is under no obligation to accept, publish, promote, or respond to any submission.
Grangor may reject, remove, or ignore any submission at its discretion, including where the work is incomplete, unsuitable, inconsistent with the platform, legally risky, low quality, misleading, offensive, or otherwise not appropriate for Grangor.
8. Publication only after approval
No submitted work will be formally published as a Grangor title unless it has been approved by Grangor and moved into the publishing process.
Approval for review, feedback, discussion, or display within the submission system is not the same as approval for publication as an official title on the platform.
9. Your promises to Grangor
By submitting work, you confirm that:
You created the work yourself, or have the full right and authority to submit it
The work does not knowingly infringe anyone else’s copyright, trade mark, privacy, publicity, or other rights
The work is not defamatory, unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading
The work does not contain prohibited material or malicious code
The information you provide in connection with the submission is true to the best of your knowledge
10. Multiple and simultaneous submissions
Unless Grangor states otherwise in writing, you may submit work to Grangor while also offering it elsewhere.
However, if Grangor wishes to move forward with publication, you must not mislead Grangor about the availability, ownership, or status of the work.
11. Reader feedback and public interaction
Where Grangor allows comments, votes, reactions, or feedback on submissions, Grangor does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, fairness, or usefulness of that feedback.
Grangor may moderate, remove, restrict, or disable comments and other interactions at its discretion.
12. Confidentiality
You should not submit confidential information, trade secrets, or sensitive third party material unless you are willing for Grangor to review it through the normal submission process.
Grangor will not treat a submission as confidential unless it has expressly agreed to do so in writing.
13. Similar ideas
Grangor may already be developing, reviewing, or publishing works that contain similar themes, settings, premises, titles, or concepts.
By submitting work, you acknowledge that similarity alone does not create liability or entitle you to compensation.
14. Editing and development
If Grangor is interested in a submission, it may invite the author to revise, expand, restructure, serialise, or further develop the work before publication is considered.
Such discussions do not create a publishing agreement unless and until Grangor confirms publication on agreed terms.
15. Removal of submissions
Grangor may remove, unpublish, archive, or disable access to any submission or submission related content at any time, including for legal, editorial, operational, or strategic reasons.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grangor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the submission, review, rejection, delay, display, removal, or non publication of any work.
17. Relationship of the parties
Submitting work to Grangor does not create an employment relationship, agency relationship, partnership, or joint venture between you and Grangor.
18. Changes to these terms
Grangor may update these Submission Terms from time to time.
The version in force at the time of your submission will generally apply unless a later version is required for legal, operational, or platform reasons.
19. Contact
Questions about these Submission Terms can be sent to Grangor through the contact details provided on the website.
